The San Jose Spiders will take on the Los Angeles Aviators for the first time this season this Saturday, July 24 at 6:30pm. The game will be played at the Spiders’ 2021 home stadium, Oakland Tech High School.

The Spiders fell to the Dallas Roughnecks 23-20 this past Saturday in the Week 7 Game of the Week. The loss puts the Spiders at 2-3 for the season; they’ll play seven games in the next five weeks to close out the season. Not yet out of playoff contention, the Spiders will look to secure the win at home this week to continue pushing for one of two playoff spots in the West Division.

Leading the Spiders this season is rookie Jordan Kerr out of BYU, who through five games ranks first on the team in goals (14), plus/minus (+26), and blocks (8). He’s averaging 375 yards of offense per game in his first AUDL season, and is squarely in the running for 2021 Rookie of the Year. Kerr will look to keep momentum going against an Aviators team facing postseason elimination.
